4 stage of retirement

Heard a TED talk on the 4 stages of retirement. Do I agree? On some aspects yes. And just to summarize what was being communicated the the speaker, here goes:

Phase 1 – travel for 1 year. Stage 1 is the most expense laden stage.

Phase 2- search for meaning, began asking question like, is this all there is.

Phase 3-explore areas you are good at. Take classes. Pursue another degree.

Phase 4- self actualization, help others. Volunteer. Church. Teach.

BP scare!

What is it with the last quarter of the year since 2021 that makes my BP soar!

For some reason could be the stress and anxiety at work. The unknowns, the unexpected changes. Or could be the current state of the world economy.

For one thing, I am a world watcher of the current trend of semicon and its impact to the future of civilization.

September morn

Amazing! The first month of the “ber months’ just came and went without a hitch! And just like that!

Looking back yet again, a barrage of work family and sports activity engulfed my time. First off, at work, a new mgmt has been installed (yet again!). Second, the golfing network is diminishing with a breakaway group trying to re-instate good golfing practices. Finally on the family front, Rory is slowly getting the hang of the schooling!
