Politics and wealth directly correlated

I have this nagging feeling and maybe has been corroborated by many thousand others like me. Here it is – politics and wealth (at least in my own country) goes hand in hand!

Here’s why:
1. WEALTH CREATION! The richest lawmakers are mostly businessmen themselves. Reason and logic will side with me therefore the supposed “law” is modified/crafted/made to favor their own business interests. Cant the people that vote for them see this is blatant theft!

2.WEALTH  EXPANSION: The biggest businessmen (in terms of interests) sits on boards of semi and government corporations! So if you are a board member, one will naturally push for policies that will increase their corporations earnings, and thus makes them even wealthier!

3. WEALTH PRESERVATION: The people in politics are sons and daughters of former politicians! Even businessmens children are now running their own!

Looking back, this I believe are the strategies of the rich. And the reason why they are getting richer!

Question – does one have the gall to do this?

1Q2016 Activities

Well its just a whirlwind 1Q!! Imagine, its now 2nd week of April and I have not documented what are the golfing activities of our group. Let me try to remember

1. My wife and I had a fantastic Sydney golfing trip from March 18-26!
2. The group had its multiple Handicapping flights in Pulai Springs!
3. My wife and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary Golfing in our topnotch neighborhood championship course!\

On top of that I had to finally upgrade my driver and bought a pre owned NIKE VAPOR PRO!

Impressive! Thats all I can say. I was, for the 2nd time, able to drive 250 meters or 273 yard distance, the minimum distance for pro these days!

History repeating itself….yet again!!!

And here we go again!! Coming back from the doctor for health screening is not a good way to end a week. But hey. Life has to go on! Especially as today is my 20th year wedding anniversary with my wife!!!

I take this as my baseline. Since I’ve hit 40s. And its getting tougher and tougher to increase metabolism in this age.

So here it goes my baseline

What need to change?
1. Lower uric –
2. Lower triglycerides
3. Lower LDL –

DIET
1. No more deep fried!
2. More boiled food. Ilocano food! Japanese food!
3. Less rice!
4. Less meat!

2. Golf/Long ride/sports every weekend!
3. Participate in bike/run or golf event!

I came back from the doctor this morning and was excited that my blood cholesterol has dropped by 10 pts. The drop was over the last 3 months period. Thanks in part to the routine exercise I did in preparation for the triathlon and the reduction in diet (less deep fried pork, more on vege/fish).

Here are my cholesterol numbers so far:

April 2016 Self Reflection

With the BBC news today about Foxconn acquiring Japanese company Sharp, I had the sudden interest in the life story of the man who built an empire called Foxconn.

Hon hai used to be a small medium sized electonics company based in Taiwan who in our dealings with them became known to be a low cost high quality subcontractor of large electronics firm.

Using this story in the backdrop, I researched my way to how the founder ‘made it’.Now 2 hours later I have the strong desire to start day trading myself in the hope that I would kindle the fire in me in

But reading from the web about horror stories on day trading ie. high anxiety , high stress environment, I have no recourse but to look back at myself, what Im good at, and what people would buy from me.

So million dollar questions-

1. What am I good at? No, what am I great at?  Using the God given skill or talent? Is it speaking? Is it music ? Is it sports? Narrow down? Speaking to teach or inform? Speaking to influence? Or Speaking to preach?
2. So what tangible or intangible items would people buy from me over and over again? Is it a product or a service?
3. Who are my competitors?
4. Is there a market out there? How big?
5. Can I survive and grow myself out of it?

Potential products and services I can create that should be cheaper AND better! Dont want to make ‘just-another-product’ out there-

1. Power banks using solar panels.
2. High end plastic to protect phones.
3. Financial products – savings and loan firms.
4. IT related software products to be used by logistics companies.
5. APPS for everyday use.
6. Training and consulting firm
