RESILIENCY- the japanese people

  1. the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.”the often remarkable resilience of so many British institutions”
  2. the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity.”nylon is excellent in wearability and resilience”

I admire the Japanese people. 9 years on and instead of bickering, fighting and debating about whether a seawall need to be built to withstand another tidal wave, they did what they had to do – BUILD IT!

So many nations have come under natural calamities. But none come closer to Japan’s. Earthquake are a DAILY occurrence. Typhoon yearly. Tsunami, regularly, though few and far between.

With these challenges, ordinary people with ordinary resilience would never dare live on these conditions. Not the Japanese.

Second life

I have a new lease of life.

Back in August 27, 2020, I was cruising along a main road on my road bike when in a split second a car bumped my behind and I was flung into the air.

The next thing I know, I found myself lying on the pavement. A sharp pain ran thru my lower back, and my bike in shambles. It was only then I realize I got into an accident.
