Medical Screening – August 13, 2020

Today marks my annual screening procedure. The last time I had this executive check up was 2016. Reason I was ‘forced’ again to do this is two or 3 nights ago, I woke up with numbness on my left hand. Feeling like an object or weight was left there and thereby impeding blood flow. Scary!

Looking back:

  • May 2017 – I had a brief bout with hypertension leading to my medication treatment of cholesterol, (Statin), Blood pressure (Losartan) and liver function test (godex).
  • August 2017- had blood test and result came back ‘normal’ on all fronts.
  • For the next 3 years onwards, I have been
    • Playing regular golf on weekends
    • Sometimes, 2x or 3x per week,
    • Regular therapy sessions to relax tired body and soul
    • Replaced my statin and godex with intentional diet like
      • Supplemental moringa and ampalaya capsule
      • 2x i tried artery cleansing (garlic, ginger, honey, lemon and apple cider)
      • Vit C redoxon

Until COVID19 hits.

For the next 4 months from April to July I had a binge of mee siam, curry and cholesterol enriched hawker food. All because I had to work from home and home food becomes a chore.

Let’s see in Sept 26 what’s my blood test looks like.

Health check – 3 months later!

The lipid numbers came!! All good news!

1. Total cholesterol down   : 294 to 187
2. LDL down                          : 197 to 106
3. HDL up                               : 50 to 57
4. Trigly down                       : 238 to 120
Wow!!!
But liver is still the challenge
1. SGPT : still at 41 vs normal of less than 37
2. GGT : 254 vs less than 51 as normal.
